Motorola Endeavor HX1 Bluetooth Headset (Shield Gray)

This is the best noise canceling headset to date. Before this one, there were only a handful of manufacturers that effectively had noise canceling technology. The majority used two mics, and the jawbone used a mic and a touch sensor mic. Before this unit, the jawbone was the headset to buy. It was flawless as long as it touched your cheek. But now, this unit is far above the rest. The dual mic normal mode works for just about every environment to a point. I had a a stereo blaring and the noise cancelling reduced it to tiny background noise. You could still hear it, but your voice was way out in the forefront of the signal. Typical office, and street environments are also pretty good. Now when you turn on the Bone mic (They call it stealth technology), only the vibrations are picked up by the unit, deep from inside your ear. This effectively only sends your voice and thats it, no matter how loud things are. I had to put my cheek right up against my speakers to get any background noise, which suggests the vibrations were coming through my head. That would never happen in real life. The transfer of bone vibrations into real voice is highly accurate. I sounded like myself, perfectly clear, and loud. People understood what I said and could clearly define it was me. The only difference was that there was clearly the upper limit of audio spectrum missing. 13khz and above. So it sounded like I had the treble turned way down. But darn if it wasnt superbly clear and quite. This is the best purchase…

Jabra JX10 II Bluetooth Headset - Black

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful 5.0 out of 5 starsWorks like a charm, March 2, 2007 By M. I. Stasik "mist" (Portland, OR) - See all my reviews(REAL NAME)  This headset is very nice - lightweight, easy to wear, long battery life. Supposedly it is multipoint as well, however I'm yet to test this. Mine (black one) was imported from UK for the US market and as such did not come with a dedicated power supply. The plug is for the UK marked with an adaptor. Looks ugly but I use it at home only harging it off the USB on the road. One thing to consider is getting a spare ear loop. Mine has broken in less than a month of use. Also the docking and undocking it from the desktop charger requires some brute force. Every time I charge it this way I wonder whether I'm about to break something. No accidents so far but the design could be improved.

Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset [Retail Packaging]

I have tried oh so many bluetooth headsets (various ones by Motorola, Sony, Plantronics, the nXZEN 5500, and the Jawbone). All have had significant usability issues. Most were completely unusable in moderate wind and most were not loud enough to properly receive calls on the streets of Manhattan. Only the nXZEN and Jawbone had DSP processing sufficient to block out most street noise, but the DSP wasn't so effective in moderate to strong wind. Plus the nXZEN had relatively lousy audio quality on the receiving end of things, so it was often difficult to understand callers. At last I have found a usable headset, the Voyager 510. The audio quality of this headset on the user end of things is absolutely phenomenal. It is several magnitudes louder than any other bluetooth headset I have tried. I have good hearing so I don't expect a headset to be super loud, but most bluetooth headsets are so low that conversation from a caller can almost be unintelligible. This Plantronics headset produces clear, loud, largely static free sound. The headset also transmits audio extremely well. I spoke to several people on the streets of Manhattan and they couldn't tell I was even on a headset. I also left several voicemails for myself and the audio quality was quite good. Moderate wind is not a problem for this headset at all. However, I don't believe that this headset employs the same type of DSP as the the nXZEN or Jawbone, so if you are on a noisy street the person you are talking to may hear the…

Motorola SF600 Wireless Sports Headphones - Retail Packaging - Black

Bought these about 21 days ago. Was very pleased with them for walking around and exercising.Sound was better than average when using them in that capacity. However the true tests;Took them on a 14 day business trip. They cannot be substituted for sound isolation that you might want on an airplane. I stuck to my wired Shures for that ; the gel tips don't mold to the ear canal. The concave gel tips were more stable in my ear canal when exercising in hotel gyms than the smooth gel. Loss of bass response is the trade-off. Suppose that's a personal ear-structure choice too. Then the kickers:they hold a charge inconsistently, and the blue-red -green charging indicator lights went awry and even simply didn't light up. Sometimes the lights never came on at all when I used the usb chargers ( various ones, so it wasn't a charger issue) . Also left ear phone started to emit static. That issue "seemed " to resolve after about a week, but I didn't wait and I've exchanged them for a new pair. I am skeptical, because the Motorola support forums all report incidences of the same exact issues I am reporting here. I even tried to do a factory reset to see whether it would resolve the problems. I couldn't even achieve a reset with the instructions they gave! I cannot imagine that Motorla doesn't take these things for a 100,000 mile test before the release them to the market! These things are not cheap. Anyway maybe I'm an idiot, but exchanged them for a new pair and will be watching them…

89015J - Motorola DC800 Bluetooth Home Stereo Adapter - Bluetooth

I purchased two DC800s and both work great as tv transmitters for use with Sony headsets (had dropout problems with many other manufacturers headsets). I also purchased the Sony bluetooth stereo transmitter/receiver but had a large number of sound dropouts (probably because it is a class 2 device) even within 10' of the transmitter so that was returned. With the combination of the DC800 and Sony headsets, I have reliable reception throughout my 1700 sq ft apartment (other than a couple of dead spots)except when either I or one of my neighbors turns on the microwave oven.If the headsets were class 1 devices, I suspect I'd be able to get a reliable range of 150'

Motorola S10-HD Bluetooth Stereo Headphones with Motorola D670 Stereo A2DP Music Streaming Bluetooth Adapter for Apple iPod Classic, iPod Touch, iPhone

Worst headphones I've bought yet for music. They are great with the telephone but music reproduction was so lousy that I bought the S-9 headphones again and was definitely more pleased.

Motorola S7-HD High Definition Stereo Bluetooth Headphones

In choosing a portable bluetooth stereo headset, I tried several others including Sony, Jabra and Jaybird. I like these because they are thin and lightweight, I barely know they are on my ears and are much better looking and stylish than other brands. The sound quality is good as is, but if you like extra bass, set your EQ to boost it on your iphone or other device.I use these on my new iPhone 4 and used them on the 3Gs previously. Sound quality on phone calls is also very good and mic must be good as I have had no complaints from people I call.Currently the iPhone will not allow skip or back or fast forwarding tracks, but this will soon be solved when IOS 4.1 is released to the public. Then the cool way of just flipping the edge of the earpiece to forward or reverse tracks will be able to be used with iPhone! These are loop over the ear type and the wire goes behind your neck to stay out of the way. They adjust easily for comfort, just read instructions because it tells you how to adjust them, the loop that goes over the ear is bendable to almost any shape you want.I highly recommend these to anyone who likes to lie in bed with headphones because you can also lock the buttons so that you don't actually call your Aunt Martha in the middle of the night when you brush the earpiece against your pillow. Great for running or yard work too because of the lightweight, low profile and the custom adjustable fit.

Jaybird Freedom Stereo Bluetooth Earbuds with Secure Fit-Bluetooth Headset - Retail Packaging - Midnight Black

I have had these earbuds for about 45 days now. I wanted to give my self a chance to really experience running with them before writing a review. To start off lets make a list of all pros, then ill move on to the cons.Pros:1- Shipped very fast, and arrived in a really nice box with tons of information. It wouldn't really matter who you are or what you decide to pair these earbuds with there are instructions included for it. No need to search endlessly on the internet. In fact, I had ZERO problems pairing, I didn't even need to enter the 4 digit code the instructions provided.2- Jaybirds have 3 different ways to stay in place while exercising or just doing work around the house. The least effective of these is just to find the correct fitting bud pieces for your ear canal. They will stay in place until you turn your head suddenly or if jogging. The next level would be to also include the in ear tabs that grip inside the folds of your ear. For me this is the perfect combination, I have never had the buds fall out as long as I was using the in ear tabs. But for those people who want an even more sure fix, they also include an over the ear hook that can be used in combination with everything else.3- With the little buttons on the right side you can manipulate your play list pretty effectively, obviously you cannot scroll through music like you can on your music player but you can skip, go back, repeat etc. You can also change music volume with little effort.4- Comfort. I typically…

Bose® MIE2 Mobile Headset

I've been searching for the perfect set of headphones for years. I've never been into the earbud style because they always fall out of my ears. However, I've always liked them because my ears weren't covered. I stuck to the on ear style while searching for the perfect buds. These have never fallen out of my ears, regardless of what I was doing. Bench press- they stayed in, hang cleans(this is a vigorous move)- they stayed in, sprints and distance runs- they stayed, these buds far exceeded my expectations. The only time they came out of my ear was when I took them out. I tried pulling on them and they stayed in. I literally forgot they were in my ears when I was on a five hour flight! The sound quality is not as impressive for the price. They still sound way better than any other head sets I've used. But, for over [...] bucks I expected them to sound close to the Bose On-Ear. Phone calls come in extremely crispy too! My people said they couldn't tell that I was using a headset. They let in some outside noise which is a plus for me because I like to be aware of my surroundings. Hands-down, these are the best ear phones I've ever had.

Motorola ELITE SLIVER Bluetooth Headset - Black

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)**Update 11/16/2011**I didn't put this in my first review because I thought it was my phone and not the headset... but sometimes when I play music the sound cuts in and out. Almost like a very hard static. With my iPhone 3Gs I thought it was because my phone was old and I had dropped it a few times. But when I paired this headset with my iPhone 4s I (at times) heard the same thing. The good thing is that it doesn't completely shut the app like it did with the 3Gs. It's just a few seconds of hard static and then it goes back to the music. It HAS NOT done this with phone calls. I don't know if this is an iPhone pairing thing or what but I find it hard to believe that two phone could be experiencing the exact same problem************************Ahhhhh... the wonder of technology. When I first opened the package I was thinking, "how in the world can this device pick up my freaking voice"? One part goes in my ear and the other part wraps BEHIND my ear. How in the... ? Well, once I got over trying to figure it out and started using it I was very, very, very happy. Just for reference I use an iPhone 3Gs and an iPad 2. I think I read somewhere this is best used for Android phones. I only found one instance where having an Android phone with this device is "better", but I'll get to that in a minute:Charging: charging items are usually a boring and little thought of aspect to electronic devices. Not so with…

Nokia BH-905i Bluetooth Headset - Black

I have now had the BH-905i for just over a week. I use them in conjunction with my iPad2, Iphone 3G (iOS 4.2.1, Jailbroken), my PC and TV (with a BT transmitter). These are my first Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) headphones and I've primarily been a user of the mid-range in-ear Sony EX headphones and Apple's own buds (ewww).Audio qualityI'm not an audiophile nor am I striving for the `bassiest' sound I can get. I really don't have the inclination to do any empirical testing. Subjectively they sound as good as my Sony EX-51s and more importantly I cannot discern any difference between the wired and BT audio quality. Bass levels are solid without being overdriven and the treble is clear. I'm reliably informed by my partner that call quality is excellent and undiscernible from a handset call. I certainly didn't feel the need to raise my voice or cup my hand over my mouth to conduct a conversation even in busy cityscapes or department stores. The width of the sound isn't up to the standard of your higher end Koss or Sennheiser over-ear ANC phones but that's reflected in the "you get what you pay for" equation. As for ANC I do not have any previous experience with them so if you've owned some in the past then this review may/may not help you. Impressed with the dampening of low-freq noise such as aircon, crowd & street noise etc. The phones did a good job, much better than the passive blocking of in-ear plugs. There is a very small amount of hiss when ANC is on with no…

Bose® Bluetooth® headset Series 2 - Left ear

This is my fourth Bluetooth. Two others were Jawbones and were good for the price. The third was a Motorola, a huge waste of money. The Bose series 2 is awesome. The automatic volume adjusting feature on the Bose is great. If the sender's background noise significantly changes (louder or softer) the Bose 2 unit adjusts the volume to meet the new conditions. How cool is that? The call button and volume controls (yes, there two..louder and softer) are easily accessible and immediately responsive. Ambient noise is blocked. Yes, it's pricey.... but if you rely on your Bluetooth daily like I do driving on the Los Angeles freeways, it's well worth it.
